ØRKILD FOUNDRY
Foundry since 1831 |
ØRKILD has inside facilities to make any kind of bolts and other gears to be used with or built into the lead keel.
ØRKILD is only using stainless acid proof steel for bolts to be used with keels, and mostly in qualities:
|
AISI-316 L . . . ( Non magnetic.)
AISI-329. . . . .( Magnetic.) |
Bolts are made with metric threads, and ØRKILD can supply nuts and sheaves for mounting onto boat.
Calculating dimensions for bolts we can recommend dimensions for which you can buy nuts in the market, because some nuts only are available as especially made, which takes time and increases costs remarkably. |

As to actual design lead keels can be delivered with bolts poured into the keel, with going through holes for bolts or with holes and pockets, for mounting. |
